The Golden Rule of Cleaning
Never use chemicals, household cleaners, or dishwashing agents. For spills, immediately use a clean, soft cloth with only clean, warm water. Wring out excess water and gently wipe the area. Pat dry with a separate dry towel. Regularly vacuuming your suite will keep it looking its best.
Wipe any spills or liquids immediately; do not let them sit. Wring out the excess water before using the cloth or sponge and pat the area afterwards with a dry towel. In most cases, this should only require a damp cloth.
Never apply anything to your Calgan lounge suite other than clean, warm water on a clean, soft cloth. This means no chemicals, household cleaners, or dishwashing agents EVER! They can dull the sheen of the material and cause premature fading. Abrasive cleaners can also scratch the suite’s smooth surface, while some household cleaners remove plasticiser from leather-look material, making it brittle.
Vacuum or dust the suite as part of your regular household cleaning routine. Make sure to clean out any small folds in the fabric to guard against trapped dust and odours. This can make a big difference to how your suite holds up over time. The arms of the lounge suite are often exposed to perspiration from the palms of people’s hands and bits of food served to guests. Clean these arm areas regularly. Don’t expose your suite to direct sunlight, and don’t place heaters close to your suite.

Get Comfortable in Minutes
Step 1: Attach Backrest
Line up the backrest brackets with the seat fittings. Slide the backrest downwards and apply firm pressure to the top corners until you hear and feel it ‘click’ securely into place.
Step 2: Connect Modules
Position your suite pieces. Lift the second piece slightly, push it towards the end piece to engage the clips at the bottom, and then push down. The pieces should slot together securely.
Step 3: Close Flaps
Once assembled, close the flaps behind the backrest, sticking them down with the provided Velcro tape for a clean, finished look.
Step 4: Plump & Shape
Your suite’s cushions may be creased from packaging. Firmly plump the backrest and armrest cushions with your hands to regulate the fibre and restore their original shape. Creases will even out after a few days.
Exchange Policy
If your new lounge suite is found to have a factory fault or defect, it can be logged for exchange for a brand-new suite, subject to approval by the factory. Please note that there may be a lead time required to manufacture the replacement suite. Please contact the store from which you purchased your lounge suite for them to log the complaint with our customer service department.

Apart from the standard cleaning and maintenance guidelines above, we have some additional instructions that are specific to the different covering materials we offer. These tailored recommendations are designed to help you care for your Calgan Recliner lounge suite based on its unique fabric or finish, ensuring it looks its best while extending its lifespan.
Choose between 100% corrected grain leathers, semi-aniline and buffed leathers from local and international suppliers. Our full leather suites are upholstered entirely in genuine leather. This type of leather is strong and long-lasting, but still needs care to stay soft and smooth.
This is cost-effective combo of genuine and imitation leather where genuine leather is used on all high-contact areas (seat cushions, backrests, and arm fronts) and the rest is finished in matching leather-look material.
These are 100% polyester fabrics with embossed patterns that mimic natural leather grain. They’re soft to the touch and easy to clean, and they are the ideal option for a leather look without the price tag.
Our soft fabric range includes synthetic microfiber suede in colours like Mocha, Java, Americano, Espresso, and more. This fabric is stylish and plush, with a soft texture that adds warmth, but it requires gentle care to keep its appearance.
